Coming up with a definition for Affiliate Marketing isn't the easiest thing to do, but this is what it pretty much is: Companies want to promote their products online. So they pay people commission each time they generate a sale or lead on their product. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, most companies don't want to deal with tens of thousands of people trying to promote their products. That is where Affiliate Marketing companies come in. They deal directly with the companies and you, acting as a middle man. Yes, they do take a cut every time you earn money, but you are greatly benefiting from their existence. When you join one, you are giving hundreds upon hundreds of different campaigns you can market and promote, which is a lot better than having to contact each company directly and figure out if they have anything to offer. Also, all of your pay is handled through them instead of tons of individual companies, so this makes it easier on you in the long run too.
So how do you get in with one of these Affiliate Marketing companies? Well, it is easier than you would expect. For most of them, you sign up and they will contact you back and let you know if you get in or not. One thing you should do is right after submitting your application is CALL them. I know you might be anti-social or whatever, but that phone call can go a long way. If it asks you for your website, don't fret if you don't own one. You can just type in you do primarily PPC (pay per click) marketing or you just haven't started one yet. Most companies understand this, but CALLING them and going over your plans with them will definitely help your case. Also, once you do get in, keep up a good relationship with your AM (affiliate manager). Ask them what the best converting offers are, how you can monetize your content better, etc. They are there to help you, because the more you make, the more they make.
I'm going to list some I work directly with and that I highly recommend. If a company doesn't make this list, it doesn't mean it is bad or anything. These are just the companies I personally use and recommend. They have been great and never missed a payment with me or given me any trouble. Yes, this is the part where I am going to use my affiliate referral links, but keep in mind signing up through them will definitely help your case when trying to get accepted into them. (just a note, signing up through referral links WILL NOT effect how much you earn. I earn a % of the overall commission off of the lead, NOT any your commission. Hope this clears that up for a couple of you). I recommend you go ahead and sign up for all of them listed below. Being accepted into more than 1 company is great because you have access to many different campaigns and offers and can decide on the absolute best.
I will update this list with more companies as I see fit.
Adscend Media: They have been my main company I work for. My AM (affiliate manager) is great. They offer higher paying campaigns and more campaigns than I have seen anywhere else. I have never had any trouble being approved for premium campaigns or anything. They also offer Content Gateways and File Gateways that force people to complete an offer before you see the content or can download the file. If you want to go ahead and apply, click here to get started.
CPAlead: Another company like Adscend that is also great. They are definitely more popular and bigger and even look fanicer than Adscend. They have a marketplace where you can buy/sell services, a chat (you have to earn over $100 to participate), and other nice features. This one is definitely good and is generally very easy going about approving people. To get started applying for CPALead, click here.
ClickBank: ClickBank is all about selling digital content to others. This is a HUGE market and the earning potential is bottomless! Think about all of the eBooks you see promoted all over the internet for things like Farmville, Halo, etc. 90% of them are being promoted through this website, and people that had nothing to do with writing them are earning big money from you buying them. Click here to tap into this market, and I highly recommend you do.
Linkshare: Linkshare is about promoting and selling products from companies. The great thing about Linkshare is you don't have to buy any of the product and risk not being able to sell it. Instead, you promote the product and the consumer still buys it through the company, but you earn a commission off of the sell. This is great since you don't have to directly invest any of your money into the products you will be selling and promoting. This has a HUGE earning potential. If this seems like something you are into, click here to get started.
Full Tilt Poker: A poker site? Huh? You would be surprised how big online poker is these days. And Full Tilt Poker is the largest poker site out there. They will pay you for each person you get to sign up, or you can choose to receive a % of their earnings for a lifetime. It is a risky choice and something you will have to come up with yourself, but this is a great way to earn some good money in a booming market. If you want to sign up, click on this elegant banner the provided me with and get signed up or click here.
